Elevation ‘08 Terms & Conditions

In these terms and conditions:

“the Organisers” means George Davies Solicitors at Fountain Court , 68 Fountain Street , Manchester M2 2FB and Champion Accountants at 1 Worsley Court , High St , Worsley , M28 3NJ

“Event” and “Conference” means Elevation ‘08;

“ You ” and “the Customer” means the individual purchasing the ticket

Ticket Terms

1. Full payment is required within 7 days of booking. If the booking is made less than 4 weeks prior to the date of the Event full payment is required within 2 working days, if the booking is made less than 1 week prior to the date of the Event full payment is required within 24 hours otherwise the booking will deemed cancelled and the Organisers will, at their sole discretion, endeavour to resell the booked ticket(s). If the ticket(s) cannot be resold, for whatever reason, the cancellation costs as set out in Clause 3 of these Terms & Conditions will apply.

2. Tickets and other admission documents shall not be issued to the Customer until full payment has been received by the Organisers.

3. In the event of the Customer wishing to alter or cancel the booking any such alteration or cancellation must be confirmed in writing to the Organisers who shall exercise their sole discretion in deciding whether to accept cancellation or alteration by the Customer. On receipt of such a notice of cancellation or alteration and subject to the Organisers accepting such cancellation or alteration, the Organisers shall be entitled to retain the following sums from the Customer:

i) 25% of the total ticket cost where cancellation occurs more than eight weeks before the Event;

ii) 50% of the total ticket cost where cancellation occurs between four and eight weeks before the Event;

iii) 75% of the total ticket cost where cancellation occurs between two and four weeks before the Event;

iv) the total ticket cost where cancellation occurs less than two weeks before the Event

v) a £25 administration charge will be added to the final balance for each amendment made to the original booking.

Cancellation and amendment charges are not penalties but a genuine pre-estimate of the damage that would be caused to the Organisers and the Customer accepts these pre-estimates as reasonable.

4. The details of the Event shown in any material supplied by the Organisers are correct at the time of printing but the Customer shall be responsible for checking with the Organisers that no alterations have been made.

5. The Organisers shall have no liability for any loss, damage or expense caused by cancellation of the Event because of government action, strike, civil commotion, National disaster or other force majeure.

6. The Organisers shall have no responsibility for any property or personal effects left at the Event by the Customer.

7. If the conference venue or date is changed the Organisers will use all reasonable endeavours to notify the Customer of the same and advise on the validity of tickets and the procedure for obtaining a refund. Tickets already purchased will only remain valid should the Customer wish to attend the revised Event date.

•  If it becomes impractical for the Organisers to post tickets to the Customer, due to the proximity of the conference or other circumstances beyond the remit of the Organisers' control, the Organisers reserve the right to make tickets available for collection at the venue on the day of the conference. The Organisers will endeavour to notify the Customer (using only details provided by the Customer at the time tickets were ordered) if this becomes necessary.

•  For the purposes of marketing the Organisers reserve the right to contact you about any relevant events or other information that might be of interest to you. If, however, you do not wish to receive these updates please inform the Organisers at either address shown at the start of these Terms & Conditions. The Organisers will respect your privacy and will comply with any data protection legislation currently in force.

10. Unless otherwise agreed this Agreement shall be subject to and construed in accordance with English Law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
